DayZ: First came the tactical shooter Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis; its successor was the game Armed Assault, or simply Arma. It was replaced by a sequel, Arma 2, which later acquired this mod. The mod, dedicated to survival in the world of a zombie apocalypse, was released in 2012, and the following year, the developers, the Bohemia Interactive studio, presented a full-fledged game based on this mod, Standalone.
This time we are not talking about a tactical shooter, but about a survival simulator with elements of survival horror, and the world is offered open. At the moment, everyone can download their Standalone torrent, but the game is still in the alpha testing stage on Steam. The creators, together with gamers, are meticulously working on the gameplay and regularly make various changes. The full version is planned for release in 2016.
